The spectator is shown two cards with a red diamond on the face, and one card with a blue diamond, as the magician relates how he was once swindled by a con-man with just such a set of cards. After losing $7, while unsuccessfully trying to follow the cards, the magician explains that he was given a chance to make his money back in a final 'double-or-nothing' wager. "If you can tell me if this third card is a red or a blue card -- you can have your money back." The magician fails! The final card is revealed to be neither the red or blue card --
